QUALIFYING STANDARDS PROVIDE MAJOR INCENTIVE AT AVIVA SCOTTISH SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS
With IAAF World Youth Championships and European Junior Championship this summer - not forgetting the major championships on home soil in 2012 and 2014 - there's a target for everyone at this weekend's Aviva Scottish Schools Track & Field Championships (Friday 12th and Saturday 13th June) at Grangemouth Stadium. Aviva, the team behind UK Athletics since 1999, has committed a four-year sponsorship of the Home Country Schools Championships (Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland) for both track and field and cross country championships until 2012. This sponsorship underlines Aviva's commitment to the sport from playground to podium, as part of the new UKA grassroots athletics framework, the Aviva UKA Academy.
