INTERNATIONAL SELECTION POLICY STATEMENT As a response to regular requests, the Scottish Schools’ Athletic Association, at its recent AGM, voted to post its International team selection criteria on its web site and in all Secondary Championship programmes.
The aim of this publication is to make it clear to all involved, the criteria considered by the selectors before announcing an International team, thus avoiding misunderstandings, misinterpretations and possible comments regarding our decisions. (Click for Statement)
PLEASE NOTE Secondary schools must be affiliated to SSAA before entering athletes in our national championships. Entries received from unaffiliated schools will NOT be accepted and the athlete/s or team/s will be refused permission to compete in the event until the affiliation fee is received.
